Carbon Fiber SUP Paddle Sold Direct Introduced by Tower SUP

San Diego, CA June 15, 2011 – Tower Paddle Boards, an emerging design and innovation leader in flat water SUP and paddle surfing boards, announced the debut of their direct to market carbon fiber SUP paddle. It’s an ultralight SUP paddle, but also extremely durable and well designed. Tower will be selling the paddle for $189. Comparable paddles sell at retail for $250-$300.

“We cut a chunk out of the pricing of high-end paddles by selling direct, ” said Tower SUP founder Stephan Aarstol. “But we didn’t cut any corners on building in durability and a quality construction to an ultra light carbon fiber SUP paddle.”

Tower Paddle Boards’ Carbon Fiber Paddle only weighs 21.5 ounces when cut for someone approximately 6’ tall. It’s light, easy to use, and all for a very competitive price. The design of the blade features teardrop shape with a slightly flattened bottom edge. The face of the blade angles forward about 10 degrees and there is a slight cupping back near the bottom.

“When purchasing a paddleboard I didn’t take into account a paddle so I just grabbed the cheapest one” said Rick, a customer of Tower Paddle Boards. “After using Tower’s ultralight carbon fiber paddle, I understood what a difference the paddle makes.”

Amy Fausset Named Director of Marketing for Tower Paddle Boards

SAN DIEGO, CA; June 9, 2011 – Tower Paddle Boards, a premium stand up paddle board company that designs and develops stand up paddle boards, SUP accessories, and surf wear for SUP enthusiasts worldwide, announced today that Amy Fausset will be joining the company as Director of Marketing.

“There were over 100 applicants for this position, and we really had our pick of some very talented people.” Tower SUP founder Stephan Aarstol explains, “Amy’s communication style and social adeptness maker her a natural brand builder, which will be critical to taking Tower from unknown to industry leader. Moreover, she has the roll up your sleeves work ethic that is a pre-requisite to making that journey.”

Before joining Tower Paddle Boards, Fausset worked for a demi-couture fashion label in Los Angeles. She also has previous experience with MTV Networks, Interscope Records (a division of Universal Music Group) and National Lampoon working in the Marketing and Public Relations departments.

“I have always wanted to work with a company like Tower Paddle Boards. The exceptional quality of the product and the emphasis on customer service make it a fantastic environment to work in.” Fausset explains, “Stand up paddle boarding is the fastest growing water sport and I cannot wait to see where this company goes with the marketing plans I have been developing.”

Fausset has a BA in Communication from California Lutheran University. She has also studied in Paris, London, and Japan.

She currently lives in the Pacific Beach community of San Diego, California.
